舊愛系列之一 – Steps

昨天突然想要聽回以前愛聽的英文流行曲。雖說「流行」，但也是起碼十年之前的事！！
中學同學們會比較知道有一陣子我很迷英文音樂，謝謝MTV台讓我特別鍾愛英倫樂隊。
當中我超喜歡英國的三女兩男跳舞組合Steps!

他們出現的時期是在1997-2001年。部份他們的歌是翻唱Abba的作品。WIKI裡說Steps的每一首歌都有舞步在裡面，所以那時候迷戀的我會望著電視的MV學跳舞(!)。

Steps最為人熟識的當然是首本名曲《5,6,7,8》!! Disco、Ocamp集體舞…很多時都會聽到哦!

一開始看到MTV常播的《After the Love has gone》的MV中的舞步讓我笑到噴飯~~~

《One for Sorrow》讓我流了好多眼淚~~那段時間主要都是由隊中的Claire主唱。

那時候我的迷戀度是用我微薄的零用錢跑到HMV買英文八卦雜誌回家邊查字典邊看，所以那時候學會好多英文生字！也瞭解很多外國的娛樂八卦！

2000年那個時候我也開始上網，就比較容易找到有關Steps的資訊和看到新MV！那時候還沒有youtube，但是總會有辦法抓到real player的低解像度MV過過癮~除此之外就是看歌詞學英文！其實真的有點用…………

其實Steps也不止輕鬆快歌的，例如很多人都翻唱的《I know him so well》也唱得令人感動！

較少獨唱的Lisa(左邊)其實也唱得很好。但通常歌都主要由Claire(中間)和Faye做主唱。順帶一提，男生主唱是H，所以另外一位Lee幾乎都沒在唱歌(Orz…)。不過Lee唱歌其也很好聽，他有在唱地下樂隊

較為後期的MV都拍得比較好玩，造型也沒那麼老土了(但又好sexy噢！)…如這個《Chain Reaction》的MV玩得過火被醫護組織投訴~

華麗的《It’s the way you make me feel》讓我可以loop足一整天！這幾乎是我最喜歡的MV=)

2001年的聖誕Boxing day Steps在巡迴演唱會後突然宣佈解散，讓很多很多歌迷震怒及炸官網留言版!那時我也失落了一陣子~~但是因為隊員之間有太多的分歧繼續一起工作也應該很痛苦吧…

隊員分開後都有繼續在歌壇發展~
H 和 Claire組成了二人組合 H & Claire，簽了另一間公司，發了幾張唱片但成績沒有很好:(

Faye和Russell Watson也合唱了一首英文+法文歌《Someone Like You》，今天我就在瘋狂聽這首。

而Lee就跑回去唸書~Lisa就結婚和出了幾張不太賣得的唱片。

果然…單飛不一定成功呀……….
